How Are Seals Different from Sea Lions? Comparing Them Side by Side

Though both are in the same group, they have distinct differences. Here, you can see them side by side. Look at their feet: sea lions have an ear pinnae (a flap of skin), while seals only have an opening to the ear canal. Sea lions are much more flexible on land, whereas seals resemble giant jumping slugs. In this video, the sea lion at Tiergarten der Stadt Nürnberg gets noisy before feeding time.
